I got Valentines Day is in just two days!! I remember when I was in 3rd grade and I asked my boy crush if he'd be my Valentine, and he totally dissed me. After that I am pretty sure I never had the courage to ask a boy to be my Valentine. Unless he was already my boyfriend! haha I seriously miss making those Valentine mail boxes we got ot make in elementary school though. I made an elephant in 4th grade and was sooo proud of it. That was seriously my favorite holiday during school. It was always so fun to pass out fun Valentine cards and getting secret admirers :)
I am still not sure if my husband has planned something for us or if we are just going to spend it with our Reign babe and chill for the night. But either way I loved this outfit when I saw it and am wearing it for V-day! This jumpsuit is so comfortable and great for V-day. It is only $27.90 and suuuper good quality. I am obssessed. I got these pom pom stilettos from Forever 21 yesterday for $9!! I'm not kidding. I also got two other pairs of sexy stiletto booties for $9 too. I feel like you find the best sale deals IN STORE so make sure to always check the clearance sections when you shop :) You never know what you'll find! You can pair it with a cute sexy stiletto, booty or pointy flat if you want to be a bit more comfortable.
I hope you ladies get spoiled by our man!! Or gents get spoiled by your lady ;) Have an amazing and sexy week!!
We are HUGE fans of shopping the clearance racks, and pretty much right when we walk into a store we usually b line it straight to the clearance rack and see what deals we can find! Although you can find amazing deals shopping clearance items, it is no easy feat! Shopping clearance racks can seem daunting and overwhelming so we can come up with some tips on how we shop the clearance racks! Below are some pics of some super cute sweaters we got at Target for only $8!! And we each styled them to fit what we like. :)
1. DONT BUY IT JUST BECAUSE ITS "CHEAP"
This is probably the most important tip which is why we put it as #1! DONT DONT DONT DONT (we could say don't a million times more) DONT buy something just because its a good deal. There have been so many things we have bought because it was a "good deal', but we never ended up wearing it because we didn't really like it, and basically wasted all that money! Wether you are buying something on sale or full price the same rules apply. Don't buy it unless you love it!
2. SHOP ALL SEASONS OF CLOTHING
This is one thing we preach a lot of about. Sometimes the best deals are the deals you get when you shop off season clothing. The reason why these clothes are on sale is because no one want to buy clothes they cant wear right away, and we thank those people because we get all the clothes on sale that they'll be paying full price for in a couple months! Although you may not be able to wear it immediately, you will be so happy when you open up your closet in a couple months and you have a cute new top, or sweater that you didn't have to pay top dollar for!
3. SHOP ALL SIZES OF CLOTHING
Doesn't it always seem like when you shop the clearance rack they never have the size you need?? Don't get caught up in what you think your size is, and only shop that size. We love oversized sweaters and the only way we can get that look is to shop 2 sizes up! Even if you find a dress you love but it is a little too big, you can always pair it with belt to accentuate your waist, and make it fit your body.
4. SHOP WITH A FRIEND
We added this tip because its never a bad idea to shop with your bestie! Not only is it bound to be a great time, but they will keep you from buying something that you should have left on the rack! When you shop clearance racks usually you are not going to find the perfect outfit set up on a mannequin that you can just grab, pick and pay for. You have to be creative with what you find, and having a friend with you is great so you can be creative together!
5. NARROW DOWN YOUR SEARCH
Shopping the clearance racks can be seriously overwhelming sometimes, but totally worth it when you score some great clothes at a great price! One of the worst things is rummaging through rack and racks of clothes and not knowing what you're looking for! One thing we've noticed that really helps that anxiety is thinking about something that you are in need of and then just looking for that item. Say you need more sweater.. Look through the racks ONLY for sweaters and that will help tame down the overwhelming feelings!
Anyone else shop for summer items during winter, and winter items during summer?? We do ALL the time! Buying clothes for a different season than your in can be hard because your only wanting clothes that you can wear now but it is the best way to ensure you are getting the best deal on the best clothing! We got these super cute pieces on the Ivy Staple website and decided to give them our winterized twist. :) Ivy Staple has some cute clothes that are more spring/summery but you can use these tips to help you dress those clothes in the colder months. We also love that they have a good prices! There are lots of ways that you can take a cute summer piece and layer it up to give it a more fall/winter feel. Here are 5 tips that we've come up with to take any summer piece, and wear it year round!
1. Layer with long sleeve underneath
One of the easiest ways to add some warmth to your outfit is to just layer it up with some long sleeves! We love the way Ashlyn layered her outfit in the picture below with this jumpsuit. It adds some character with the stripes and bell sleeves without covering up the cute jumpsuit! We also added this chain link belt to accentuate the waist, and make it more flattering.
2. Add leggings or thick tights
This is another fun and simple way to take your summer items to the next level! We love to wear thick leggings under our short summer dresses, and pair them with some boots and a jacket to add some warmth.
3. Wear socks under your strappy sandals
Don't store away your favorite strappy sandals for winter. Bring em' out and flaunt them! We love to wear knee high socks or tights under our strappy sandals. Pair them with a t-shirt dress, shorts, or skirt!
4. Tone down the bright colors with a neutral cardigan
Summer clothes tend to be really bright in color which makes it hard to pull off during the winter months. Color is completely fine to wear as long as you tone it down with some neutrals. For example take your favorite bright floral dress and pair it with a darker neutral color cardigan. This will tone down the brightness, and allow you to rock it all year long
5. Add an oversized sweater on top of summer dress
Just like in the first tip we gave about layering underneath items, you can just as easily layer on the top. We love the look of an oversized sweater on top of a short flowy dress. Add some of your favorite thick tights or leggings
