![]() You hear a lot of pregnancy horror stories, tips, tricks, and unwanted advice from a lot of people, but the one thing Ash and I were really hoping was all a myth was all the hair you should prepare to lose after having your baby. Unfortunately for us, its true! Sigh.... It literally felt like days after having our babies we started to lose our hair and there was nothing we could do about it. After a few months of trying everything to keep our hair as healthy as possible, we both finally found what works for us! We both have very different hair. Ashlyn was blessed with very thick, luscious, locks and I unfortunately got the shorter end of the stick with thin, brittle hair. Although my hair is on the thinner side, I have grown to love it so much more now that I can see how healthy and strong it has become! So for all of you with hair on the thinner side, take a look at my hair regimen, and some of my favorite products. For the rest of you already blessed with thick, luscious hair, scroll down to Ashlyn's regimen! SARAH'S TOP 3 HAIR PRODUCTS FOR THIN HAIR: #1: Rosarco Milk I absolutely love this product! I got this product in a fit Fab Fun box and tried it out for a few weeks, and now Im completely hooked! I spray this in my hair every time I wash it, and sometimes in between washes when I feel like I need a little extra conditioning. I love this product because it is so lightweight, and it doesn't feel like I have loads of product in my hair. After using this Rosarco milk for a few months now, I have noticed my hair is smoother, thicker, and feels healthier! It also smells amazing! #2: Marula Oil Typically I don't like using oils on my hair because I feel like it leaves it greasy, and too shiny. I also feel like when I put oils in my hair, especially the hair that touches my face, it makes my face more sensitive and I hate it! This Marula Oil is seriously the first oil that I have found that I like! I use this oil on the ends of my hair every night before I go to bed, and it has helped tremendously with my split ends! I have a nasty habit of picking them and breaking them every chance I get. It is also super lightweight, and I don't feel like it irritates my skin. This product gets two thumbs up! #3: Ultimate Color Repair Triple Rescue This product is a must for anyone that uses any sort of heating tools. Any time I blow dry, curl, straighten, crimp, whatever, to my hair I always start with this product and spray the crap out of my hair. It protects hair from the damage that extreme heat can have, and it also protect colored hair. It leaves my hair feeling soft, smooth, and manageable without feeling like I have a build up of product. This one also smells AMAZING! ASHLYN'S FAVORITE PRODUCTS:
#1: Biolage Keratindose Renewal Spray I have been using biolage renewal spray product for 7 months now, and SWEAR by it. I love it because I can use it on dry or wet hair. I have really thick, tangly hair so I spray it after the shower and use my wet brush (which is easily my favorite hair brush because it cuts my brushing time in half) #2: Prenatal pills or Biotin I have been taking supplements for 5 years now, and this is easily the best and simplest way to getting your hair strong and long. I have come to find that a prenantal works better for me, and I have seen the most difference in my hair since taking it. I get mine from Costco, Nature Made brand, because I get a lot! #3: Hairfinity & Moroccan Oil Serum I use a serum every time I wash my hair and when I am styling because it helps smooth and nourish my dry hair. Living in Utah with the dry heat has taken a toll on my hair so giving it as much thirst as I can has been the best way to keep it strong and healthy. I have used the Moroccan oil for years and years. And just came across this hairfinity one that I really like too!
