I made this costume 2 years ago because I couldn't find anywhere to buy it. Since then I have had so so many compliments and even people asking to buy it. So far we have had tons of emails from you ladies asking to have a dress made. So this Halloween I decided to make them! We are still taking orders until next weekend. If you are interested email us at thesavvysoles@gmail.com
Thanks!!

Princess Bride is one of my all time favorite movies! I have always wanted to be Princes Buttercup but could never find the right dress so I made this costume last year. And like a day before Halloween. Lol. I am the biggest procrastinator when it comes to finding a costume so I decided to make mine. I thought it was going to take at least a week but it only took 3 hours! I just went to Jo-Ann's fabric bought about 3 1/2 yrds. of red satin fabric (I am 5'8" and as you can see this dress was still really long) ask the cutting ladies for their advice on how much to get because you need a good amount to make the flowy sleeves. You can buy a pattern for the dress at the fabric store. The details for the belt are super simple. I bought 2 ft. of gold lace to tie around my waist and then about 3 ft. for the red/gold woven tassle. The belt really ties it all together so as long as you have some kind of belt, it will look great! I made this whole dress for under $35. I was in luck when I bought the fabric because Jo-Ann's was having a 50% off fabric sale. And I used a coupon on top of it. So make sure to lookout for some coupons online to use. There are always some good ones! I hope you try this because I got so so so many compliments on this dress! Happy Halloween!!
