$1 BandanasSuzy QBun In The OvenPony Up4th of July is just around the corner. And I have a feeling it is going to be a scorcher!! The 4th is a day full of bbq's, swimming, partying, fireworks and just plan fun. I have a lot of hair and like to keep it up when I am out in the heat (especially when I am dealing with fireworks, yikes!) so I loved the idea of doing my hair with a bandana. I wanted to come up with a couple different ways to style a plain bandana. I personally like the pony up style the best, because it's girly, cute and is out of my face. There are so many ways to style with a bandana. Another perk is that it soaks up your sweat while your in the hot sun! lol.
The styles are pretty straight forward. To start: Wrap bandana in half triangle, then fold into a long 1 inch wide strand. For the Suzy Q style, just wrap the bandana once around your hair and tuck the ends underneath the bandana. For the Pony Up, tie around your head so the ends are at the top of your head. You can either tie into a knot twice or once, depending how long you want the end pieces (I tied mine twice). For the Bun in The Oven, wrap bandana around the bun twice. The two pieces should be in the front, then tie in a knot. I get my bandanas at Wal-mart because they have a great variety of colors and are only $1! I hope you guys like these looks and try them! We'd love to hear or see how you style your bandana do's! Have such a fun 4th of July week! And be safe!!

We took a painting class for the very first time last week. We are not acclaimed artists and have even considered ourselves not having an artistic bone in our body. But we decided to go out of our comfort zone and tried something new. This is actually why we love the LeMotto #actuallyshecan campaign, because we want to show women that you can do anything! Despite it being a major milestone, we are very strong women who can endure a lot! Something as simple as painting a picture showed us just how trying can be something great in it self. LeMotto Tops: Less Hesitation More Meditation Less Regret More Sweat Less Drama More Karma Gray Wrap Skirt Green Striped dress Wedge shoe Gladiator Sandal (cheaper alternative here) Pleather Cap Black Floppy Hat We are all about changing, growing and blossoming in this life. We were thrilled when LeMotto asked us to be apart of their LeMotto #actuallyshecan campaign. What they are trying to accomplish with these shirts is to empower women to be strong and believe in themselves. LeMotto has dozens of shirts with inspirational mottos on each one.
Also, today is Sarah's 26th b-day! We spent the day getting a massage, eating sushi, walking through farmers markets, eating snow cones and shopping! We are now just waiting for our hubbies to get home from work so we can celebrate with a fresh peach pie that we bought from the farmers market! We hope you are all having a great day!! |
