I love a good thigh high boot and fur coat combo. I have always found it tough to spend a lot of money on a faux fur coat, because one: its not real and two: I only wear it a couple times a year. I know that if I buy a cheaper coat, it will still last long because I'm not really wearing it so much. Every year I am sooo surprised by Targets, H&M and Forever 21's collection of coats! This 3 color block faux coat I am wearing is from Forever 21, and it is great quality and under $40. You can never go wrong with pairing a fur jacket with booties, thigh highs and a plain top. The jacket will speak for itself and make your whole outfit!
I used to be scared to wear big coats because I didn't want to stand out too much, but once I finally just wore my big faux fur coat, I loved it and got tons of compliments! So don't be afraid to wear one! I always get tons of compliments on these camel thigh high boots. I love them because they are really soft and actually really comfortable! Some of my thigh highs always fall down but these stay up soooo good. I would suggest going up a half size or even a whole size. These are boots that I would totally recommend a splurge on! There are great to wear all year round!
So tomorrow is Halloween! So far Sarah and I have been to a couple parties and have dressed up as Princess Swan and Rey from Star Wars. Tomorrow I am going to dress Reign up as Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz and I'm going to dress up as Dorothy too! I will make sure to post pictures of our Halloween for you guys!
Have a fun and safe Halloween!!
Halloween is just around the corner!! I am soooo excited. If there is one thing to know about me, it is that I am INDECISIVE!! And not just with clothes, costumes, etc. but with my everyday decisions in life. For example, I will be driving to the store, and then decide last second that I don't have time to go, and then while I am turning around I talk myself back into going to the store, so I end up wasting like 10 minutes just back tracking. I do this at least twice a week lol. I do the same thing every year for Halloween. I can never decide on a costume. I just have so many ideas, that I want to do all of them!! Last year my husband and I went to Las Vegas for Halloween, so each night I was something different. I believe I was Ariel, Harley Quinn and Cat Women. Lol.
This year is even harder because I know have Reign. I finally decided on the Wizard of Oz. It is so dang cute!! So Reign is going to be Dorothy, and I'm either going to be the wicked witch or Dorothy too, and then my hubby will be the scarecrow. Except.. I opened my husbands costume the other day and realized I got a plus size.. haha. So our little Wizard of Oz family idea is on hold until I can find Drew a replacement. We have 4 halloween parties which means.. I have 4 costumes! haha. So this year I am going to be Princess Swan, Rey from Star Wars, Dorothy and/or the Wicked Witch. What do you guys think would be cuter.. Reign and I twinning Dorothy's or her as Dorothy and me as the wicked witch?
I am in love with this season and all the fall clothes I get to wear because they are so comfy and cozy. And it is still warm enough for me to know be bundled up every time I go outside. This pink sweater is sooooo soft and only $33 from target. Have you guys been to Target recently?? Geez, I literally cannot go in there without dropping at least $100. It is soooo dangerous. They have some seriously cute bell sleeve tops and sweaters that are so affordable. Everything is under like $35! Just be warned that you will want to buy everything... lol
I hope you guys have an awesome and holiday!!
Fall is here! It feels like it went directly from summer to winter here in Utah. Like no fall in between. It snowed in the mountains last week, so we thought it was going to start snowing on the ground for sure, but this week has actually felt more like fall. Its been in the 60's and fairly sunny and the trees and leaves have been changing colors :) We are loving it. We hope it will last like this until Thanksgiving! But that might be wishful thinking. lol.
Along with the seasons changing, we also get to change our wardrobe. We love that we get to wear boots, sweaters, jackets and all warm clothes! We recently got some jewelry from 7 Charming Sisters that will add to our fall wardrobe nicely. We love that 7 charming sisters have great price points and cute designs! Here are the picks we got: sheer strength necklace, inhale the earth necklace, black wrap bracelet (out of stock), silver chain necklace.
Everything is under $30 and is great quality!
We are going to head to the pumpkin patch tonight with our babies and hubbys. It will be our first pumpkin patch this year, and we're sure its not the last. We hope you guys are having a great weekend!!
Having babies, we've realized that having a routine is everything, and babies live off that. The first couple weeks I had Cece I was so worried about creating a routine for her, but its like you don't even know where to start. I tried keeping her awake during the day so she would sleep through the night. That didn't work.. I tried putting her down for naps at certain times everyday so I would know when I could get a break. That didn't work either.. They fall asleep when they want to, they eat when they want to, and they cry when everything isn't the exact way they want it. I remember feeling completely hopeless when there was nothing I could predict from her, and I thought it would never get better. I talked with some friends and family members who had babies and they all told me not to worry, and that eventually they would create their own routine and everything would get better. Thats the phrase I kept hearing.. "Everything will get better" I waited for 6 months until that finally became true, and it really did get better! Cece finally started falling asleep at the same times every day, and getting her on a more predictable schedule became easier and easier. Now I know exactly when she will eat, take her naps, and go to sleep for the night. I couldn't ask for anything better!
One part of our daily routines that we all look forward to are our walks. With summer just behind us, and fall beginning, it has been the best part of our day! I don't know about you guys, but it seems like our babies get sick of being in the house all day and just want to get out no matter where we go! One of our favorite products that we've used as being new moms have been our Tula Baby Carriers. They are perfect for walks, and they are so easy to put on with the baby, and they are super comfortable to wear! We've tried the $20 carriers, and the $150 carriers and it really does make a difference when you are comparing quality. We are all about substituting an expensive product with a cheaper version if you get pretty much the same results, but in this case it is definitely worth it to spend the extra money. The problem with the cheaper carriers is that they really are not made as well, and they don't hold up the same way some as the more expensive carriers do. When you are carrying a 20lb baby on your chest you need as much support as possible, and the Tula baby carrier really provides that! The other thing to keep in mind too is that you will get a lot of use out of this carrier. It can be used with newborns all the way up to 45lbs! All you ladies who can carry around your 45lb baby on you get a round of applause! We will be using our husbands for that.. We carried them around for 9 months so its the least they can do, right!?
