Alas, the school year has started! I cant believe it is my last and final year of college (Sarah's too). It seems like just yesterday I was graduating from high school. But I am super excited for this last year because I will be taking my upper core classes. This is where the fun is, so over all those math, science and other classes that don't pertain to me and my degree.
It is crazy how much I have learned about marketing from the blogging world. I love social media because the world is your oyster. You can become anything, do anything, be anyone you want. Sarah and I just decided one day that we wanted to do a fashion blog. So we did it. Yes, it has been a lot of work, but it hasn't felt like "work" because fashion is something that we have both been very passionate about for as long as we can remember.
Another thing I have been obsessed with for as long as I can remember is the movie, "Clueless". Where my 90's girls at? Because I know that all you girls have to feel the same ;) Cher is one of the major influences that inspired me to be a fashionista. That is why I loved this look so much. The preppy/school girl look is trending right now so don' be afraid to throw some knee high socks with your outfit. And for my last piece of advice, if you want to pursue something then stop making excuses and just do it! Because you CAN.
Thanks for stopping by! Ciao!

You may be wondering, why is Ashlyn kayaking by herself? Where is Sarah?? Well, Sarah and I are currently apart. While my husband and I are in Utah, Sarah and her husband are in Virginia finishing school. But the good news is, that after December they will be back for good in Utah! It's been tough spending the whole last year together and then suddenly saying "bye!, see you in 3 months!" We are super super close, if you guys couldn't tell. Lol. A little piece of ourselves (like an infectious spark) is gone until we are reunited. I know that sounds mushy but you guys know you have that one friend that you can just totally be yourself and be a complete weirdo with and laugh until you pee? haha Yeah, so we are counting down the days until December!
I live right by the Provo canyon, which leads right up to Sundance and Park city. There is this river that flows all the way down to the mouth of the canyon that people can ride tubes, kayaks, and rafts down. I had never done it before so my cousin and I spontaneously decided to just go. It was really fun. Although, the instructors made it seem like we were going down through major white cap river rapids. haha. It was totally calm, so peaceful and relaxing. If anyone is coming or lives in Utah I would totally recommend doing this! The prices are pretty reasonable. It was $45 for a two person kayak (which we just split, so it was only $22) And it takes about 2 hours to get all the way down. (And we were like paddling major the whole time) So if you take your time and float all the way down, you'll be here for a few hours.
But all in all, this was the perfect end to an amazing and eventful summer. The main thing I missed from this summer was the fresh outdoors, camping, fishing, boating... basically all the stuff that you can't do in the city. lol.
P.S. There is a huge Victoria Secret swimsuit sale happening right now! I am not sure how long it is going on until but I made a list of my favorite ones :) Oh and they're all under $30! Scroll to the bottom :)

We're two peas in a pod because we cannot turn down a good deal. Ever since we were little we were taught to look through sales racks and clearance sections. So it's not surprising for us to come out of the store with some great deals. And like we have said many times, its always worth it to pick through sales sections! You'll never know what you might find.
We love both of these looks because they have the 3 C's. Comfy, classy, casual. Exactly why culottes are back in style. They have all 3 of these C's integrated in to one pant! These pants are very versatile because they can be worn to just about any occasion. Throw a t-shirt and sandals together and you have a casual day look. Pair them with a stiletto and blouse and you have yourself a work or date outfit. Wear them to the pool, beach, or even to bed! The possibilities are really endless. Lol.
Ashlyn wore them with a fabulous/classy jacket that she picked from the sale rack at H&M. Tighter tops are more flattering with these pants because you can look like a blob if you have a baggy top and baggy pants.
The dress that Sarah is wearing is definitely the comfiest dress in her closet. And what's even better is that it's modest. We are huge fans of half sleeves because cap sleeves can be unflattering sometimes. The style is very flattering because it hugs her curves and loosens at the bottom.
Both of these outfits are great for fall too. Pair the dress with a cardigan, scarf and booties for a cozy fall look. And pair the culottes with a turtleneck, sweater or blazer. The main thing we try to incorporate in our closets is creativity. There is always a way to change your wardrobe to a different season. You just have to be creative and add a scarf here, knee high socks there, and accessories everywhere!

haha Don't worry, nothing inappropriate, just showing off a little graphic tee action and tips on how to get the perfect look with your graphic tee! First off, graphic tees are awesome to wear because you can get that simple and chic look without trying too hard to achieve it! Here we paired this awesome graphic tee that we found from target with a sweater that we found from Abercrombie and Fitch for only $5, YES only $5! And then we got these ripped jeans also from target, for only $17 (40% off) Its funny because we haven't shopped at Abercrombie and Fitch in YEARS and one day decided to take a stroll inside for old times sake and actually found some really good deals on some cute stuff! Of course we only got the items that didn't have to logo on it, funny how things change, and they had a lot. Never pass up a great deal on an item that you are loving just because it is at a store that you normally would not shop at. If you love it, buy it!
